Orderly panel surfaces create a calm appearance around washbasins and WCs. But successful cladding over services requires more than neat joints. How each component can be reached for maintenance must be resolved at the outset.

The purpose of an IPS system

Venesta’s IPS systems aim to organise service areas while facilitating maintenance access. It is therefore important to examine the removable-panel or access-hatch approach alongside the surface when choosing a system.

Identify service points before enclosing them

Mark valves, trap connections, cisterns and other access points with the services team. Arranging panel joints for visual symmetry alone may put an access point in an impractical location.

Consider where a removed panel will go. In a narrow cubicle, drawings should show the clearance needed to open or remove it. Aim to let technicians work without removing another fixed component.

Check finishes against the usage scenario

Choose materials and details together for basin splashes, floor washing and wall junctions. A panel should not be treated as a waterproofing system on its own; identify the construction solutions required by the rear wall and services separately.

At handover, give the maintenance team the location of service panels, opening instructions and any key information. A clear handover file makes future work easier while maintaining a tidy appearance.

Before you decide

  • Mark maintenance points on the services drawing.
  • Evaluate panel opening against the actual available space.
  • Hand over service-access information to the operator.

Sources and scope

Manufacturer sources were reviewed on 24 September 2026. Brand and product properties in those sources do not automatically represent performance or certification claims for Mat Kabin products. Planning advice is general information; final selections should be based on the current technical documents for the specific product.
